My Experience Of English: My First English Teacher

My First English Teacher Language learning is always strongly influenced by the teachers, because learners tend to imitate how our teachers perform and act when we are unfamiliar to something. At the time we were learning our mother language, teachers are our parents because they are the ones that we meet and communicate frequently when we were young. However, when we are engaging in learning another language, like while I was learning English, the first teachers could highly enlighten their desires and abilities of learning a language hence they could master the language. Thankfully I met a good English teacher, Ms. Tang, when I started learning English in the middle school: she was so strict because she usually assigned more homework than other teachers, but her harsh requirement had entrusted me many good habits, including self-discipline and diligence, which benefited my English learning process for a very long time. The first time I met Ms. Tang was the first English class at the very beginning of my middle school career. At that time, I had learned English in primary school, but not systematically, because English was not a mandatory course in primary schools in my hometown, a small city in northern China. These words included words for countries, fruits, foods, color and objects in daily lives. Without these words, I could not express what I was thinking during writing an article in English. From reciting the passages on textbooks, I also learned styles of writing, like how to compose a sentence in a correct order. The reward of hard working was obvious: I received a notably high grade, which exceeded many of my classmates’ – especially those who slacked learning
