Explain Why I Want To Be A Military Officer

1) Why do I want to be a military officer? Different people have different reasons for joining the armed forces. However, for me it has always been very simple, I see it as the highest form of patriotism. People choose different avenues to show their love for their country. However, most of them are not ready to pay the ultimate price. My desire to be a military officer is driven by my love for this country and the need to serve it and its people. Serving others has always been part of my purposes in this life. I always knew that I wanted to make a difference, not only in this country, but the world over. As a military officer, there are certain responsibilities that I am expected to fulfill as part of my career. First, it is my responsibility to follow all orders as given by my superiors in the military. This is one of the most important concepts for me to grasp as a military officer. One’s success in the military is determined by a person’s ability to follow orders as they are assigned to them. As a military officer, I have to remain respectful to my superiors and fulfill their expectations of me. Obedience remains a core responsibility for every military officer.
