Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines diversity as the condition of having or being composed of differing elements. By this definition, every human being is diverse because God created us as individuals with different beliefs, morals, attributes, and appearances. Sadly, our society has taken the word diversity and defined it only for appearances. Some might say that I am not diverse because I am a Caucasian girl from a small town in Ohio, but I am diverse because I am entirely different than the Caucasian girl from a small town in Pennsylvania.
