Throughout the last four weeks I have been researching clinical research associate (CRA), as this is my intended career, post bachelor degree completion. I have gained a lot of knowledge that has helped me decide to continue to pursue this goal. I believe I have the necessary personality traits and characteristics to be successful in this role. I currently work in research and as of now intend to remain in this field. It has been very helpful to explore potential career paths and I cannot wait to see what doors open because I furthered my education.

As a CRA I will need to be equipped with good verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to think critically. I believe I currently exhibit some of the necessary skills and traits, especially critical thinking, integrity, and the appropriate written communication skills. I believe I need to work on my verbal communication skills because I become nervous when speaking in front of a crowd. CRAs often conduct protocol training in front of an entire research site. This could be a potential problem for me. (mynextmove.org, 2016)
Summary of Career Goals
My aspirations as far as career involve continuing my education to gain employment by a Clinical Research Organization as a CRA, eventually work in a management roll, or as a senior in-house CRA.
I am also exploring advancement within the company that I am currently employed by. I believe I have the potential to become the site director or a project manager. There are also options in the regulatory department.
