Biomes Survival Story We were flying in the government's new 737 million dollar B-2 Spirit jet. My sergeant gave me and my co-pilot orders to go to the coordinates 6.1° S 106.9° E, which is Jakarta, Indonesia. Our orders were to observe the areas that have military-like forces in the tropical rainforest. As we were making our last pass for reconnaissance over the tropical rainforest, there was a huge thunderstorm. A few minutes after the storm started the B-2 jet was struck by lightning, which caused the engines to fail and descend into the vast tropical rainforest. As the plane was descending, my co-pilot and I made the decision to eject out of the jet at an altitude of 5000 feet. As we ejected, my co-pilot was struck by lighting, which made me panic because his life was taken. He also had most of our resources such as food and water. At first I was scared and shocked because I lost my best friend and co-pilot, then I realized things were even worse because I also destroyed the government's new 737 million dollar jet.

As I looked around there were only seventy-foot trees surrounding me. It was cold and I was freezing so I decided to take cover under a strangler fig. I was too scared to think. My mind was so frazzled. I was cold, in pain, and confused. I was lost in the tropical rain forest with little resources. I became so worked up on what happened that I eventually fell asleep. But then I woke up because realize that I was near the bengal bamboo, which meant that the Bengal tiger must be near by. So I gathered my materials and started walking south for two miles and five miles north. I found myself near a river and I jumped in. The water felt cool against my skin and I cleaned up what dirt and blood I had on me. I eventually gathered more water in my canteen for the rest of my journey in the rain
