Praise of an Angelic Teacher; Kathy Miller chooses not to rule the world Before addressing the absolutely critical need for all students to pursue the love of Kathy Miller, it is important to realize the greatness that Mrs. Miller has achieved. In all of her years at Banjo High School she has perfected the junior SAT, and in her humbleness she would never lead you to believe that she was the cause of this massive jump in the SAT averages. She has also been a steady member of the Soccer Club for many years, never once convincing them that she had enough power to pressure them into making her child the starting goalie. No sir, Kathy has been faithful and has never once used tenure as an excuse to lazily teach or become enthralled in the power…

On the first day of school, I remember walking into class and seeing all of the new people in my class. I also remember meeting all of my new teachers. I went from an exceptional student to one who talks back. Since freshman year Mrs. R had been my favorite teacher, even though I did not have her until I was a junior. She was kind and always there if you needed to take a breather in her class, or simply do whatever you needed to on the computer, if it was your lunch. I've heard students complain about how they did not like her and how annoying she was. However, I couldn't understand why they felt that way about Mrs. R. I never saw her the way they did.…
Tycianna Caldwell Reynolds ENGL 1010-01N 8 Oct. 2015 Taken for Granted: America We as individuals are very quick to look only at the bad sides of situations. We are sometimes only able to see the things that we do not have and overlook the things that we do. We take for granted things like freedom, equality, and being able to gain an education. Many forget that these things are not guaranteed to others that live in different places. I realized how fortunate I am to live in America when I met someone from another country.…
Throughout our challenging eighth grade year, Mrs. Dischley eased us through it by making science class easy, understandable, educational, and most of all fun. She is a prime example of a teacher who is fully devoted to her job and helping her students not only learn, but to take with us what we learned on with us in our years of education ahead. Mrs. Dischley is more than a science teacher, she is a person whom you can talk to about anything you need to or just to have someone to tell your corny science jokes to. Mrs. Dischley is an incredible teacher whom truly made my eighth grade year memorable.…
