Muscular Tissue

Tissue in your body is used to help your body move to bend over and pick up a box that is on the floor. Muscular tissue is used to move muscles and bones and connective tissue connects the muscles/tendons to the bones to help with movement. Nervous tissue is also used. It’s needed to tell you to pick up the box and tell your muscles and bones to move the way you do to bend over to pick the box up. First, the rectus abdominus pulls forward to bend over, the latissimus dorsi and gluteus maximus both extend and work opposite of the abs to help bend over. The rectus abdominus pulls vertabra forward to bend over and the latissimus dorsi extends vertabra downward. Then the rectus femoris flex while the hamstrings work opposite to bend legs a little

Is it important to understand the structure of our muscles? And if so how could this improve the results of our muscle exercise routine? One wise thing to do when deciding the muscles exercise technique we are going to adopt is to find out the type of structure a muscle is made of, muscles as we know are formed by either a slow-contract structure or a fast-contract structure, for example a muscle made of high level of slow-contracts structure reacts more favorably to high repetitions, so high level of slow-contracts structured muscles are more adequately trained in the 15 or over repetitions to allow the muscle to be enough time under pressure. Fast-contracts structured muscles are more adequately trained in the 6 to 12 repetitions.…

In the first stage the leg muscles are used to gain power for the second phase. The racket is then thrown back and so is the body weight, this involves the abdominals. In the next phase the body is then lifted off the ground and the shoulder muscles and the latissimus dorsi is then used, it adducts, extends and rotates the arm to follow through and hit the ball. The triceps are then used and contract to get full power. The tennis player will then jump and the latissimus dorsi will come in use again.…

The muscular system is the system of the body that contains smooth, skeletal, and cardiac muscle tissue. This system contains a variety of functions including movement of the body and of materials throughout the body, maintenance of posture, and heat production. Muscles are the only tissue in the body that have the ability to contract and therefore move the other parts of the body. The muscular system is important because without it, life would completely stop. Muscles produce not only voluntary movements but involuntary movements such as breathing, digestion of food, pumping blood etc.…

In a skeletal system joints, ligaments, and tendons all go hand in hand. A joint is defined by two or more bones that meet. However, with the use of fibrous connective tissue, ligaments allow the joints to be held together. Ligaments are what prevent us from moving in an undesirable plane, another purpose they serve is that they limit the range or extent of normal movement (Wallace 2013). Unlike ligaments where the bone might be attached to another, tendons are fibrous tissue connecting the bones to the surrounding muscle.…

article by Alta Charo titled, “Body of research- Ownership and Use of Human Tissue” she states that there are two key questions that researchers need to focus on that is: First, could a 1-time general consent to all future research be used? It is not clear if this type of consent would comport with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability. The HIPAA requires specific information for use of the patient's protected health information in research, unless the IRB has made a specific determination to the contrary (Charo, A. 2006). Second, does removal of an individual's information from tissue samples alleviate the risk and ethical obligations to that individual? Just because samples are deidentified does not necessarily mean that the donor doesn’t object to the research.…

This paper will list some major bones and the muscles that are connected to these muscles. The first major bone on the list is the tibia, which is located in the lower leg. The muscle that connects to the tibias origin is the hamstring, which helps with flexibility and strength in the legs. The first thing that Dr. Mary Schweitzer does is address the issues that the scientific community has questioned her about (I am not going into detail about this because it is very complicated and would take up too much space for it to be a short summary). She talks about what exactly was found to of been preserved…
