Multimodal Project Sample

For this multimodal project, I want to address the issue revolving immigration especially with the latest Presidential elections, and the new immigration policies Donald Trump has been implementing since he took office. The fact is that many individuals truly believe that immigration has been a negative impact on the United States and by placing stricter and harder bans on immigrants it might allow the United States to rise socially, economically, and politically. These misconceptions have led to discrimination, prejudice and racism to the minority groups throughout the United States. These policies are threatening not only to my peers at Florida State University, but to myself as well considering I am an immigrant. The stance I will be taken is in favor of immigration. My goal is to be able to reach out to FSU students who already agree with my claim in hopes of convincing and persuading them that together, as a group, we have more power and resources to educate those individuals who hold a negative view at Florida State. In order to educate those individuals, the main outcome of this website will be to persuade students into creating an organization on campus that will support and distribute information about immigration. …show more content…
Considering my audience are those individuals who are already in favor, I have decided to focus the website on three main sections which will consist of the About the Author, Make FSU Campus Safe, and the Importance of Action section. Although my main focus will be these three sections, I have also decided to add a section where I would be discussing some of the policies Donald Trump has been trying to implement since he became President such as taking away birthright citizenship and the ban on Muslims to allow my audience to become aware of the current issues and the need for us to speak up for our rights as

The area of my topic for my Capstone Project is the environment and the United States should stop the production of the North Dakota Access Pipeline. The pipeline is 1,172 miles long and it will transport 470,000 barrels of oil per day. The pipeline will begin in North Dakota, travel through South Dakota, and Iowa, and end in central Illinois. The pipeline will be placed through the Standing Rock Sioux land, which is in North Dakota, and the pipeline would affect their only water supply if the pipeline spills. I chose this area because the media doesn't show what is happening in North Dakota and I want people to be informed about what is going on in our country and stand with Standing Rock to end this battle.…

It would be the greatest honor to be a TRIO SSS transfer mentor for Wenatchee Valley College students. I am interested in being a transfer mentor because as a first-generation college student I understand that being a first-generation student of color comes with barriers, but also gives me a unique and valuable perspective with which to bring to higher education. My parents only have an elementary education and have no understanding of the U.S educational system and as the middle child of five siblings, I understand the responsibilities and pressures youth in these populations have with shouldering the burden to accessing and disseminating information to their entire family. Additionally, I understand the cultural challenges some students of color may face as many traditional households discourage pursuing…

These flyers for Rhonda Patterson’s speech about sex trafficking can be seen all over campus, and target all students and faculty in order to spread awareness of sex slavery. This is an extremely visually appealing and emotionally effective document, eliciting feelings of urgency and sympathy. This document’s success is largely attributable to the exemplary use of gestalts. The faces in the corners of the pages are fantastic examples of the Gestalt principle of proximity at work. The parts of different individuals’ faces connect to create the appearance of a single face through their overlapping boundaries, which is an incredibly effective means for conveying the diversity of the victims of sex trafficking.…

I want to be able to help the Latino community and to inform them of the many opportunities they have here in the United States of America. Finishing college or even entering college is something that many Latinos feel they will never be able to do. Many Latino parents came to this country to give their children a good future. These parents work hard to give their children the life they never had.…

When I first arrived at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I expected higher education to be a bastion for peoples to freely express themselves, providing the ability for both students and faculty to openly interact and engage with their peers regarding a multitude of subjects. Yet this feeling dramatically changed with time. During my sophomore year, I saw the campus’ College Republicans falsely label the school as anti-free expression due to a funding dispute between the group and student government. Instead of debating the value of bringing in various perspectives to campus, the conversation focused around showcasing a conservative perspective in an arena the College Republicans found as threatening.…

Based on the information displayed in the Histogram, the distribution would be bimodal. The bimodal tells us that there are two distinct modes, or peaks present in this data. In the case of this data, the $31,000-$40,000 would represent major mode or larger peak while $51,000-$60,000 would be the smaller peak or minor mode. First we must calculate the percent change between 1999 and 2015.…

In the last decade or so, many important issues that were debated did not have much of an impact on local communities. However, one issue that is being debated today that will directly affect local communities is the policy on illegal immigration and how to control it. As we all know, immigrants looking for a new beginning founded this country and it has since been known as the country of second chances. The thought of the American Dream is what convinced so many people in centuries past to immigrate to America. This same reason is why today in America there are a large number of legal and illegal immigrants hoping to achieve this same dream.…
