Getting to know different cultures can demonstrate positive outcomes. So that said, learning about different cultures can be done in several ways such as for traveling into different countries, research about a different culture etc. However, taking the example of leaving in the United States, it is very effortless to get to know a different culture by the fact that, America is fulfilled with migrators. Many of them came for a better life and so called live the American Dream. However, part of the American dream implies to obtain an education, become a professional and then apply your knowledge into the benefit of our society and sometimes some foreign norms and customs could benefit our expansion. Thusly, despite the benefits of being exposed to different cultures, these foreigners were, and somehow still facing a great obstacle, which is overcoming various forms of discrimination in workplaces, especially when looking for employment. As unreasonable as it sounds, tremendous companies are more concerned about the origin of the candidate versus his qualifications. Therefore managers and professionals in a business settings will address those complications along with a discussion about the importance of understanding cultural, ethnic and gender differences. The overall population of the US is amalgamated from various people with different nationalities, example: French, Italian, Indian, Haitian, Jamaican and many more. This insurrection among us has greatly impacted the nature of the reformed American society. Due to the fact that various cultures constitute our society, America therefore is less ethnocentric.
