Around the mid 1930’s there was faction in the United Kingdom that was encouraging a change in the age of consent (Robertson, 2017). Besides, adolescents were gaining sexual freedom, and girls and boys around that age began to experiment with their sexuality freely, to an extent. To clarify, the age of consent laws in London, was the highlight of the 1940’s in the spectrum of sex laws; most laws that restricted homosexual sex, sodomy, and oral sex were written previously to this time.
