Mr. Know-It-All Narrative

The strongest improv rule I did was keeping everything going throughout the whole entire process, trying to build off of everyone else’s idea. Through Conducted Story to Mr. Know-It-All I did my utmost best to make every sentence make sense and if it suddenly changed, go off of someone else’s emotions, and idea of a story. In Mr. Know-It-All most of our sentences made no sentences, I attempted to make sense of them and roll off of their ideas, when Mark would say the weirdest word that did not even make sense, it would morph the whole sentence into something else while I have this idea rolling off of the other sentence. In Conducted Story with the City Under the Waters, it was a weird story, and I was absolutely clueless on how to build

When people act obnoxious and disrespectful, I would just like to go up to them and say “I was at about six there. Don’t make me go to ten”, a quote said by Dale in Step Brothers. My pet peeves involve the disrespectful actions of high school students. It really irks me when people in band just don’t play their music correctly or march properly. If we have been practicing the same song for a short amount of time, then I understand if most don’t pick up the notes right away.…

In the middle of my sophomore year, I was asked by a senior if I would like to be the president of a dance club they had started that year. The club members knew that I was apart of a well known dance studio. I was indecisive primarily because the club only had 3 members and so I did not know how I could make it into something starting off alone and young, but something told me to just go for it. And that I did.…

I refrain from making hasty decisions, a trait that’s made it easier to manage time and keep my life organized. It’s not that I don’t enjoy some spontaneity, just that I’ve had experience with faulty planning. I like to consider as many details and possible outcomes of a situation before making a decision; in fact, I believe it’s my best characteristic. Thinking things through allows me to make sound, satisfying choices in both my academic and social life. It is a practice that has saved me from careless mistakes on math tests and kept my activities.…

Like all sidekicks. I’m just plain good company. I like attention, in fact I absolutely love to be petted, and even though I may not produce very loud purrs don’t think that I don’ appreciate you. I don’t really like when people pick me up and hold me, but if set down and put me on your lap and I move in every way direction so you can hit all my favorite spots. Though don’t get me wrong just like you, I also like my solitude where I can relax and take a nap or even just look out the window.…

I managed to reach a point where I began making false promises to myself and others about addressing my situation. Among those empty promises was the one where I claimed I would give up drinking, attend rehab and try to get my life back on track. I even fiddled with the thought of seeking inpatient assistance if things weren't working as planned. Let's be clear and fair.…

The Arrival I had originally planned to travel to Rio on September 5th through September 12th. A perspicacious and experienced hunter named Rainsford accompanied me. It was nighttime when I first spotted land of any sort. It was vaguely visible and was opaque, so misty that even Rainsford couldn’t see it. Utterly tired, I began drifting off, dreaming of the adventures we were soon to face.…

“Congratulations!!” read one post on a friend’s Facebook wall, the day after she landed an office job in her field. “So amazing!” read another. “Are you ready for your big-girl job?” asked a third well-wisher, accompanied by a GIF of Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope. “I can’t believe I finally have a real job” was the text she sent me a few days later, from the comfort of her desk, where she had been hired to do operations work for an organization she had once, a few years prior, interned for.…

The social norm that I violated was singing out loud on a public place. Well I did not really get to sing loudly on a bus or train. I did however sing loudly while I was shopping in Wal-Mart. I thought it was the next best thing than singing on a bus or something. Since there are tons of people at Wal-Mart in the first place.…

Once I begin working as a Nurse, I plan on taking every single positive attribute of each and every wonderful Nurse that I have ever met in both my personal travels and in my Brown Mackie travels, (Instructors), and then incorporate them into the Nurse I am setting out to be. I will apply the skills I loved the most about each and every single one and put them into practice. From communication and listening skills, to patient teaching or even pharmacology, I will use what they have demonstrated and incorporate it as my own. The glistening sun beamed through the side window’s paper blinds at exactly 5:15 in the morning. The sheets were draped over my bed side because of my restless sleeping and I was missing my left sock. My mouth tasted of the Whopper I devoured the night before and my lips smacking together brought back the overpowering combination of mustard, mayonnaise, and ketchup back onto my taste buds. The wooden mirror propped up on the wall across from my bed showed a crusty middle aged man with exceedingly uncomfortable facial hair and a stained tank top.…

I work for my dad on our family ranch in Jones Creek, Texas. The work is hard, backbreaking, and tiring. Everyday when I get home I eat the meal that my momma makes for us: there is no arguing whether or not that is what you are having for supper. Every night I get in bed completely wore out from a hard days work, then I wake up to do it all again in the morning. This job is not for everyone, however it is for me.…

I walk in, surrounded by millions of dollars and tens of thousands of hours worth of glass. Roughly sixty-thousand pieces, each hand crafted by a crew of students and professionals working together, tell a story. Sixty panels of vibrant colors, sloshes of visual food that appeal to our creative stomachs, lurching the eyes of any passing viewer, including myself, forward into a land of distant time and space and beauty. The Roots of Knowledge, located inside the Utah Valley University library has only been open for a short time, yet somehow has been able to captivate viewers from local, regional, and even international congregations. The artist, as already stated, is trying to tell a story.…
