This makes his argument very weak because not everyone has access to a professional that he could ask a lot of question, see him play in person and learn a lot from, like when Kobe did as a kid. According to Kobe Bryant, he stated, “you have to be a master at your craft.” This statement contradict his argument, because the only reason he became a master of his craft, basketball, was because of his father. His father played a huge role in his life of being a basketball player, because if he wasn't born into the sport, he wouldn’t have a huge opportunity to become a professional basketball player. This make Kobe channel all the hate, sadness, and his failures to rage. It made us see that using negative emotion can benefit you to cultivate greatness. . According to this article, “How To Turn Negative Emotions Into Your Greatest Advantage” it states “And paradoxically, negative emotions can be a powerful catalyst for positive experiences and realizations.” This saying that negative emotion can make a person achieve more and use negativity as a beacon to become great. It went on and said, “Anger can be fueled into creativity.” Kobe Bryant used anger from his life to help him and push him to be creative in the court. This is a big factor in cultivating expertise because it made Kobe Bryant willing to overcome his failures. Another use is sacrificing friendship, in order to be the master at you craft. What friends?” So, this basically echoes Kobe Bryant idea that in order to be successful you have to sacrifice hanging with friends.
