Moving Back To School Essay

Over the past 5 weeks now I have been on my newest academic journey, it has been a very eye-opening few weeks, but it is a decision I am glad I have made. So far my decision to go back to school and choosing SNHU has been a great experience and has helped build and boost my confidence that I can be a successful student. I have been out of school for over 10 years so jumping back into school at this stage in my life was a very stressful and overwhelming decision, but I am very grateful to be taking this huge step into bettering mine and my families lives.

Snhu has so far been what I was hoping for when I decided to go back to school and I chose the online route to obtain my degree. I love how it is easy to navigate and I love having the freedom

High school is a staple of American culture. Popular culture is littered with high school imagery: cheerleaders at the homecoming game, senior prom, and finally, graduation. There is a program offered at Mercy College of Health Sciences (MCOHS) that was too good for me to pass up. My current focus has been on achieving my BSN and the program I had heard about was fairly new but provided an opportunity for me to get my BSN while doing it in only 2 short years.…

However, going to college and actually completing the journey is much easier said than done. Many factors such as the price of tuition, the increased competition for scholarships and admission, and the level of support and encouragement one has affect those "college times" in a person 's life. An aspect of this journey that really stands out to me is the use of programs that aid first-generation college students. From the financial aid to the programs ' mentoring benefits, these programs can make a huge difference in the lives of so many people hoping to obtain the education they…
