Cesar Chavez Movie Analysis

I chose the movie Cesar Chavez is based on a true story, the movie is about a labor organizer and activist man of the civil rights. Cesar Chavez was an American leader and activist who organized the strike for farm workers in Delano, California in 1965. Cesar Chavez was the son of an immigrant workers who work in the field. Cesar after the eighth grade stop going to school and also himself as well started working in the field and he saw all these discrimination against the workers. Cesar Chavez organized a nonviolent strike and many immigrants farm workers went on a strike demanding labor rights for farm workers and to increase their wages and also to improve their workplace conditions. Mechanical & Organic Solidarity these two factors is what the keeps the society working. Solidarity is the unity of the people and define what holds us together. Mechanical solidarity is when people from same community that share the same ideas or beliefs that are stronger they are more traditional. Organic solidarity is like the human body that all the organs have different function but all relay on each other so that the human body can function ( Powerpoint 2b ) . Individuals have different experiences because they have different jobs but they rely on each other’s, they are interdependent because they all depend on each other. The things that hold them together is that everyone will do their jobs but their beliefs are weaker because they depend on each other.
