Definition of cancer: Cancer is a disease in which cells multiply abnormally, creating growth in tumours and cause damage to surrounding tissue.
Oral Cancer: It appears as a growth or sores in the mouth that do not go away. It is also known as mouth cancer and is a type of head and neck cancer and is any cancerous tissue growth located in the oral cavity. Mouth cancer occurs when the cells on your lips or in your mouth develop changes, like mutations, in their DNA. These mutations allow cancer cells to keep growing and dividing even when healthy cells would die. The accumulating abnormal mouth cancer cells can form a tumour. With time, they may spread to the inside the mouth and onto other areas of the head and neck or other parts of the body.
