Mount ST. Helens
The eruption of Mount ST. Helens changed people’s lives because it destroyed everything in its path. The volcano erupted at 8:32 a.m. on May 18, 1980. The eruption caused snow on the mountain to melt and the snow flooded the roads and bridges. The eruption sprayed a thick layer of volcanic ash over a huge area. If you do not know what Mount ST. Helens is, well it is a volcano that erupted in the year 1980. Mount ST. Helens is located in the Cascade mountain ninety-five miles south of Seattle. In the Cascade mountain there are fifteen volcanoes currently active. Before Mount ST. Helens eruption in 1980 the last volcano to erupt was Mount Lassen.
