Down Syndrome develops inside the whoom and is caused when the developing child has 3 rather than 2 copies of the 21st chromosome. Mosaic Down Syndrome is not inherited, it occurs at a random time during early fetal development. No certain race color or gender receive this condition more than others. This condition happens by chance. When a baby is conceived, the gene process will sometimes add in the extra chromosome.
