One way Morgan used facts to criticize McDonald’s is he explained how McNuggets (McDonald’s chicken nuggets) were made. The fact he used is “McDonald’s chicken nuggets are made from chickens that are pumped with hormones so their breast are unusually large, then they are put into a machine, their heads are chopped off, and the rest of their body including feces comes out of the machine”. This made me not want to eat McDonald's chicken nuggets, and most likely others too. Another fact that Morgan used to expose McDonald's is McDonald's premium salads have 51 grams of fat. Although McDonald’s claimed that there was no relationship, one day before “Super Size Me” was released they launched a new “Go Active” menu (Supersize). Additionally, six weeks after the premier of the documentary McDonald’s announced they would be eliminating the super size menu. McDonald’s also launched a new advertising campaign showing children encouraging others to have healthier meals at McDonald’s. McDonald’s claimed that it is “matter of common knowledge that any processing that its foods undergo serve to make them more harmful than unprocessed foods”
