In chapter one, A boy name Moon shadow talks about him wanting to learn more about the Golden mountain. When Moon shadow was born his father left the Middle Kingdom. The Middle Kingdom is where all the Tangs lived. But the white demons called the Middle Kingdom China. In the day Moonshadow goes to the Golden Mountain. The Golden Mountain is America. Tang people calls America the Golden Mountain. As he arrived Moon shadow is frightened of the white demons so he starts to run. As he runs he sees a tall man very strange to Moon shadow. It was Moon Shadow's father Moon shadow thinks his father looked very strange. As the day goes on Moon shadow’s father brings Moon shadow to Uncle Bright Star.
