When participating in this observation of the sky many things were brought to my attention. The sky has many mysterious things including the stars’ movement. I made eight observations where I live Del Mar Heights. Most of the descriptions of observation were an hour to complete. These observations over the semester from September to December were done with drawings I’ve below, I’ve noted any constellations that were visible I also used an astronomy website to name and understand what I was looking at. All observations were at lease days apart.

The constellations were Scorpius and Antares. I could see them very faint but I knew they were there. The crescent moon was position between Venus at the right side. Saturn-Antares was pair on the left. The Moon was out it then half full. Aquarius was out. Neptune was close to the moon. The bright star sparked red and green in the low northern east sky. During this time Saturn and Antares form a contact right triangle with bright Venus. The triangle will be narrow everyday as Venus moves towards the upper left. During this time the Big Dipper lies horizontal. Did any pollution have an effect on my observation? When I there was a cloud over the skies as I was making my drawing. Was it cause from pollution? I’m not to sure what pollution would look like but I saw some type of clouding that move it was interesting the pollution a different pattern then stars. My first drawing was done in the fourth of October there was a glimpse of the moon. Phoenix was out not visible to me but in the skies. I did see a big group of stars then the skies began to have a cloud mist. This was the first observation so I will see what the next one shows me to compare. Was there pollution that affected my view, yes there was because after siting outside watching the star and then drawing them not all stars were visible. Did I see anything that surprised? No. The stars always look the same to
