Monsters In the Dark “Don’t worry sweetheart,” Victoria’s mother Kaitlyn stated,”everything will be perfectly fine.” Kaitlyn lays in the hospital bed while her daughter sits beside her. Her mother had been attacked by a creature of the night.
“But Mommy, what if the monsters come back?” Victoria’s large green orbs blinked, filling with tears. Her mother had wiped away her tears.
“Nothing bad will happen. I promise,” she smiles sweetly, “Now, go off and play with your dollies.” Victoria obeyed her mother and went away.
She ran off through the halls dancing and singing and playing. She played hide and seek with her dollies and her teddies. Victoria seemed to be having so much fun that she had somehow gotten lost. She looked left, then right, trying to find her way back to her mother’s hospital room.
The area of the hospital that she was in was like no other that she had ever seen before. Instead of being well lit and warm it was very dark and damp and cold that Victoria wished that she had brought a jacket. This part of the hospital

She wept for her mother, who she would later find out had passed while she was gone, she wept for herself, her dollies, even for the monsters who attacked her and her mother earlier that day. She let out all of her feelings when she cried. The wet, hot tears ran down her face. Between sobs she would hiccup. But, towards the end of her tears and whimpers, she heard something. Something she was afraid of ever hearing again. She heard the whispers from one of those terrible beasts of the night. The breathy whispers, in some unknown language, came closer and closer and closer until it sounded like they would pounced on Victoria at any moment. Victoria stood up silently and ran off into the rest of the darkness. In her haste she managed to find her way out of the bottom of the hospital building and back to her mother’s
