Monster Attack Research Paper

When Monsters Attack Every second of every day, a monster enters my body. The monsters come in all forms, shapes, and sizes. Some days the monsters are subtle, playing with my thoughts, filling the positive ones with harsh, negative thoughts instead. Other days, ferocious, breath- sucking, light dimming, vein shrinking monsters come in to achieve their desired harm. Three specific monsters have found their home in my life, and their names are Anxiety, Insecurity, and Fear. The first monster is named Fear. Fear doesn’t constantly live inside my body, but it visits regularly. Fear knows when to attack. It feeds off of humiliation, disappointment, and hurt. I am handed a failing grade on an assignment, a frown appears on my face. My mind is aching to tell me that it will be okay, that I will do better next time, but Fear is ready to attack. This monster has lived with me for almost seven years of my life. Anxiety controls every cell, every vein, every nerve of my body. It speaks loudly, telling my nerves to panic, my lungs to stop, my mind to clear. It effortlessly rids of all the calm thoughts that are left in my mind, erasing all of sustainability that was once present. The upper advantage of defeat clearly seems to belong to Anxiety, but with a certain hero, Anxiety can be defeated. Medicine is the hero's sidekick. It is always willing to help, it is loyal to the hero, but it shows no extraordinary or outlandish power. The ultimate hero… is God. A simple prayer, allows good thoughts and calm words to soar through my mind overpowering the negative ones. It slowly opens the path of air for my lungs, allowing my breathing to become steady and natural. In a matter of seconds, God has defeated Anxiety. Anxiety has no power over the true
