Have you ever stopped caring so much that whatever happens, happens? I remember the time I had gotten in trouble by my mom because I had walked home from school. It was a gloomy day from it being so cloudy and cold. I was talked into walking home during school by friends whom, at the time didn't care about school as much as I did, cared nothing of school. I didn’t like it, but then again I started not to care either.…
This morning was the best day of my life. I woke up and hear nothing outside from little Red Chief. I got up so quickly from my bed and start jumping for joy. He was gone out my life for good and never coming back. After this I went town to enjoy the blue sky and see everybody have happy look there faces.…
My First Shot The air was empty but the pond was full. We sneak through the trees to get to the pond. We get there to realize that the gamble we took didn't pay off. Since we got there about thirty minutes before shoot time we waited. That was the slowest 30 minutes ever.…

During the hike I thought a lot about my summer reading, but sadly it didn't help me face the monster... During July of 2015 I was reading Into Thin Air while driving down south. While there, my family went on a hike that was on a smaller scale of Everest, but still gave me many lessons to take away from it. It was a short but scenic drive from the place we were staying to the long, treacherous trail. My brother and I started walking at a faster pace than our parents so we arrived at the first obstacle before our parents.…
This is a really big game. I'm ready for the game to start. It was my last soccer tournament against the hardest team, Mundelein. Tweet! The ref blew the whistle the game was as exciting as the Super Bowl.…
Losing someone you watched suffer in their last days on earth doesn’t feel anything like losing a friend that was your age who had their whole life ahead of them, and losing both in less than a 2 month span doesn’t help either. The year of 2013 wasn’t the best year for me nor any of my classmates. For me it actually started when I was in the seventh grade, my mom received the rights to take care of my ill grandfather (her father). Turns out he was suffering from early age dementia; caused from drinking at an early age which happened to be 12.…
Discussion: Creating a scene Detective Darrel Jones was driving past blocks of businesses on the main route into town and everything looked normal. Nothing big happens on day shift in this area of town but at night the reports start coming in. The temperature was warm 105 degrees and the clear blue sky made it a perfect day. Detective Jones plans to retire in 8 years when he is 51 years old and move to Florida with his wife. Their two kids should be in college or married and with the pension and savings he will be relaxing on the beach away from the lives they have now.…

“Paige come on! If you don’t hurry up, we will be late, and then you won’t be able to warm up for the softball game!” Mom told me. “Ok, I’ll be there in a minute.” I replied to mom as I scrambled to find my glasses and two hair ties, and I raced out the door.…
A few years ago I remember walking home from school. Mind you I thought I was very handsome back in those days, I had soft, dark brown hair, I went to the gym every day, I was fit and healthy, personally I thought I was a ladies man and I still am (I think). Anyways, I was almost home…
It all began in the 6th grade. There I was, casually walking through the hallways, oblivious to what was about to happen. As I turned a corner, a brightly colored flyer caught my attention. On it were the words, “CHOIR TRYOUTS--DISCOVER YOUR PASSION FOR SINGING.” The next few moments could only be described as my personal “aha-moment.”…
