Negative Effects of Cell Phones Did you know that cell phones also have a negative affect on humans? Cell phones have become a part of this society and have been circulating for quite a while now. A man named Martin Cooper invented the first cell phone in 1973. The purpose of this mobile device was to make this society more connected. It purpose did accomplished its goal, but caused other side affects on human beings. Cell phones were meant to make our society more united, but what they didn’t have in consideration was that cell phones causes damages to the development of humans. Cell phones is a way to communicate with family member or friends that live far away. The problem is that this society is communicating more by mobile phones than having physical conversations. Mobile phones has become a distraction to humans. “The American College of Emergency Physicians Foundation (n.d.) has voiced concern over rising numbers of emergency room cases involving mobile phone users who walked into lampposts, tripped on sidewalks, or entered the street into oncoming traffic.” (The Dark Side of Mobile Phones (n.d.): n. pag. Naomi S. Baron. Web.) Mobile phones have brought other concerns to be controlled. Now, people driving must not be concerned of animals that cross the street, but as well as humans. Cell phones have also changed the way people write. Before cell phones were invented, people would write the word completely, but ever since cell phones have been around all of this has changed. Most drivers use their phones while driving. Some say that the call was very important, but the point is that phones shouldn’t be used while driving. The law might say this, but people simply don’t care. If these mobile phones didn’t exist none of this would be a problem. The problem of using a phone while driving is that the person isn’t a hundred percent concentrated when driving. This is where the accidents come to play a role in this society. According to news report, a woman killed a man while using her phone while driving. The judge accusing the woman said, “Mobile phone use while driving is a plague on our society.” (Graaf, Mia De.
