When planning any event, it is important to have a schedule to go by and a back-up plan in the case that something goes wrong. Many times during the year events are postponed due to some error or oversight of the planner, such as: bad weather, flight delays, cancelled guest or entertainer and financial issues. Therefore, there must always be someone or something to hold you to your plan.
When dealing with young ministry events, one must keep in mind that young people are easily distracted and driven away by their own lust. The third mistake we saw is ignoring Murphy’s Law which states “If anything can go wrong, it probably will”. Jason Sansbury, in his article, The Importance of event planning, gave a testimony about a lock-in that could have been a nightmare for him, but it wasn’t because he planned well. In my plan I would have a mission statement in place along with biblically based core values to abide by. Furthermore, if an individual seeks employment by my company they must meet certain qualifications and have experience to back it. If hired by my company, my employees will under-go training sessions every year so that they can maintain youthful knowledge and to add to that, my employees will be well treated to keep them motivated about what they do. On the other hand, failure to comply with my rules one will be terminated. Another area that I would like to touch would be having a back-up plan. In my company, I will appoint a team to rationalize the possibilities of negative feedback and conjure up back-up plans so that things run smoothly. Finally, I would try my best to keep God as the focus of my company and progress with the times as the new generations
