Misconceptions: The Constitution And Its Amendments

Students may often have or create misconceptions within social studies and in particular The Constitution and its amendments. Students may learn of knowledge through various unreliable sources and agree with specific sides of the spectrum in regards to controversial topics. These may include gun control and the writing of the second amendment. Most students can identify the second amendment as the amendment associated with the right to bear arms, but the actual underwriting of the amendment is a common key misconception I have found when I have involved myself with informal discussion with my students in the class from previous learning segments. Additionally, identifying sources of its credibility is another key misconception I aim to link
