My role as a leader is to ensure that each of the above priorities are met within my unit. In order to accomplish this task I would start at my section. I would supervise and conduct appropriate training with focus set based on the units METL and sections mission. Other training will come in the form of NCOPD and sergeant’s time training. Not only are soldiers physical readiness important but their mental stability is just as important. My role is to carefully monitor and keep up to date information about each soldier’s welfare under my wing. Properly ensuring that their medical profile allows for them to deploy when called upon. Ensuring that proper measures are taken place for when a deployment occurs. Helping soldier’s families out by providing directions to specific services and following up. Conducting physical training and developing plans that will help soldiers meet the physical demands of war. Providing detailed counseling’s with my soldiers and getting to know their strength/weaknesses and goals will help me to develop and mold them for their future.
