Their obviously needs to be more laws, because kids are still being bullied, and doing things that they normally wouldn’t do if they weren’t bullied. There was a research done that showed how and why kids were bullied. The statistics showed that 31.5% of kids were made fun of, 13.1% of kids were bullied, because of their race, 8.5% were bullied because of their religion, and 12.8% were physically hurt (Garby). No matter what race, religion or difference someone has, they should not be bullied. Everyone is different, and no one should be bullied for being different. Everyone is just as good as the person next to them. There was also a research done that showed how the victims, bullies, and witnesses of bullying experience after they are involved in bullying. Lisa Garby says that the victims experience depression and anxiety, health complaints, decreased academic achievement. The victims of bullying get the worst of it; they get beaten, made fun of, harassed, and then they usually end up not doing well in school. A study done showed that 12 out of 15 school shooting cases in 1990, the shooter was a victim of being bullied (Garby). Victims get so tired of being bullied, they don’t care about themselves, anyone or anything, and then it leads to them doing something like this. The psychological and emotional outcomes of cyber bullying are similar to those of real-life bullying. The difference is, real-life bullying often ends when school ends. There is no escape from cyber bullying. Forty three percent of kids are bullied online, one in four have been bullied more than once (dosomething.org). Cyber bullying can hurt someone just as much as real-life bullying, people put mean things on the internet or text about someone usually, because they are jealous. Jealousy is the number one cause for any kind of bullying. Girls are twice as likely to be bullied online, because other girls get jealous, and post pictures of that girl, send text about her, or call that girl bad names. They do this because the girl has something they want, in most cases, a man. Also, most kids bully online, because they think they won't get in as much trouble. The thing is, they are right. Cyber bullying is looked over all the time people. It happens every day on twitter, facebook, and all the other social media sites. Kids think that it is not a big deal, because they are so use to it. They need to step in on a conversation and stick up for the victim, or bullies will never learn.
