A former church pastor and his wife were arrested by police on June 16 for bringing their baby daughter with them while they were drinking and smoking at a bar in Indianapolis.
According to a probable cause affidavit obtained by AL.com, police went to the Wild Beaver Saloon in Indianapolis after someone reported that a woman was soliciting customers in exchange for beer and breastfeeding while drinking alcoholic beverages. Shari Tremba, 42, tested 0.193 after a Breath Alcohol Content test.
Michael Trosclair, 45, a former senior pastor at a church in Theodore, was reportedly visibly intoxicated. He was taken into custody after he started protesting when officers informed them that medics were going to check the baby and that a child abuse investigator and Child Protective

Trosclair was too intoxicated to understand the situation his own child was in when the mother, Ms. Tremba, starts to breastfeed the child,” said Sgt. Ty Van Wagner in his report. “It also shows a lack of care for the child and its welfare while in his and Ms. Tremba's care. Partying was more important than their child.”
The couple was charged with public intoxication and with neglect of a dependent in a situation where the dependent is endangered. They have also been released from a jail in Indianapolis but have to face court on June 27 for their initial hearing.
Pastors who fall into alcohol intoxication or even dependence are nothing new to the public. In July 2016, NewSpring Church executive pastor Shane Duffey announced that they have removed their founder Perry Noble from his position as senior pastor over concerns regarding his stance on his marriage and alcohol dependence, Charisma News reports.
Duffey also relayed a statement from Noble which informs the congregation of his situation. He admitted that he sinned by depending on alcohol instead of the Lord for strength. He also promised to seek professional and spiritual help to better address his personal
