Abstract:
Hyderabad is an important IT/ ITES hub in the country. The development of Metro Rail gives great impetus to the already booming economy of this great city, by providing a comfortable and fast transport system for the people of the city. In addition to being eco-friendly, the project reduces the transit time to a great extent, thereby contributing to efficient use of the working hours and increasing productivity.In the first phase, the development of Metro Rail was approved for approximately 72 km., covering three high density traffic corridors of Hyderabad. The Project is being developed on DBFOT basis in PPP mode. L&T is the construction agency. Cost of the project is Rs. 14,320 Cr.The Project as such is a technical marvel, with so many challenges for Designers and Engineers. The civil construction envisages Pre-fabricated

1.Introduction:
Hyderabad – the common capital city of southern states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh has emerged as the trade center for IT/ITES and other sectors and it continues to be known as the “City of Pearls”.
Hyderabad covers an area of 650 sq.km with around 6.8 million and the metropolitan area contains 7.7 millions of residents. With the development of IT and industrial sectors, the city is on the verge of tremendous growth of population and traffic which leads to high pollution levels and steep increase in fuel consumption.The government has decidedto meet the superlative growth with well-planned public transportation infrastructure with HYDERABAD METRO RAIL
