Egypt was provided with one of the most significant rivers of all time, the Nile. The Nile had extremely fertile banks growing food and other crops. One of the most significant features of the Nile was the fact that it had an annual flood which would create fertile soil being brought to the top. This was very important to the Egyptian farmers of the region. The Nile split Egypt into two sections the upper and the lower. The upper was good soil and the lower was hot and dry. Geography in this area limited expansion due to the deserts and high cliffs of the region. Southern Mesopotamia is mostly a marshy, wide, and flat area. Most settlers settled by the river for the fertile soil and easy irrigation. There were not many natural resources in the southern part of Mesopotamia so the rivers were a primary source of survival. In the northern part of Mesopotamia is mainly cliffs and flat timbered areas. The settlers of this area used all the natural resources including timber, metals, and stones for survival. Geographic location impacted India in a strong way because it has fertile land and phenomenal rivers but they are secluded and limited to certain locations within the region. The economy of this region was effect by who they traded with and what items they traded due to location, India is a place of harsh terrains and extreme obstacles such as monsoons and droughts. But with the nearby rivers large successful civilizations arose. The rivers provided fertile soil, irrigation, and water for consumption. India was cut off by mountains from most of the world and survived because of its fertile land and large rivers. India was a perfect place for expansion with lots of space and many areas to grow food for its people. With India being extremely self reliant even with foods and spices, India flourished and continues to flourish to this day, producing the best spices in the entire
