In Mesopotamia, the sumerians were polytheistic and worshipped many gods. The egyptians had a strong belief in the “ afterlife” and believed the chief god was the sun God Amon Re. The indus people were also polytheistic and worshipped sacred animals including the bull. The chinese prayed to may gods especially to Shang Di. They believed the reflected a balance two forces, yin and yang. One of there last differences is there writing. Cuneiform originated from Mesopotamia and grew out of pictographs used to record goods.
