It is a way to be able to express them via a creative outlet. A way to grow and to start a new beginning. Intimacy characteristics is the closeness of observation were to be " intimate is communication, to declare or make known" (Dijkstra,2015). This was the aim of Italian contemporary artist, Valentina D'Accardi. She produced a project about the dramatic death by suicide of her grandmother. The project is called " Il Fiume" which consisted of videos that showed the last journey of her grandmother, photographs of the landscape where all this took place and thirty drawings. Thirty drawings is for the total age of her grandmother's children when she passed away. The artist portrayed two true events that happened parallel to each other within the same period of time. One circumstance was the disappearance of her grandmother and the other was the discovery of a decomposed body by the river. These two episodes were intertwined together because the decomposed body found along the river was her grandmother. From the time, D'Accardi was born, she felt " pain of loss that I did not live, but felt very clearly" (D'Accardi, 2017). At the end of her exhibition of 'Il Fiume', D'Accardi felt stronger and freer in her artistic expression. Toledano's project called " Days with my father", was a way to deal with the sudden loss of his mother and the terminal illness of his father. This project consisted of taking photographs daily of his father. It was a means to depict the last years of his father. He wanted to share this solitary experience, to unload, while at the same time help others appreciate their loved ones. This project was his process to deal with the eventual loss of his father. On the other hand, the tragic story of Ophelia written by Shakespeare was the foundation for James's photography work entitled "A beautiful announcement of death”. Ophelia's character was driven by love that led her to a heartbreak. Her eventual death is presumed to be suicide. James' artwork was inspired by Shakespeare's Ophelia story due that it resounds with a similar tragic event that happened to him. A former girlfriend killed herself by drowning in water. “ I create theses sculptural works as a way of remembering, a kind or tragic baroque memory " ( James,2014 ).
