Family Assessment of Shelby Eatenton Latcherie Family does not have a universal definition, and over the years the definition has changed from a traditional mother, father, and children to several variations. Examples of these are parents that are unmarried, are of the same sex and those that do not live in the same household but do what is called co-parenting. The definition of family according to Kaakinen, Coehlo, Steele, Tabacco, & Hanson (2015) is "Family refers to two or more individuals who depend on one another for emotional, physical, and economic support. The members of the family are self defined" (p. 5). The movie, Steel Magnolias, is based on a true story but names, details and events have been changed.…

All of the babies had their own beliefs, values, norms, and social practices. I can conclude that Ponijao’s culture consist of family. There were plenty of clips throughout the movie, were his family was always together and being playful. Moreover, they did lived in indigent stances, meaning, they didn’t have much access to clean water and other necessities for living. I believe that the beliefs would be sticking to tradition, at the introduction of the movie Ponijao’s mother had orange paint and I know this had some significant meaning.…

Plus, I had multiple people recommend this book to me. There exist particular elements in the film Crouching tiger, the Hidden Dragon that the audience from the western world are unlikely to comprehend. Foremost, the film title is derived from a Chinese apothegm which means hiding strength from our world. The movie story is centered around a four hundred years sword which is referred to as the Green Destiny. The movie director avers it to be referred to as such as the green color represents yin which in this respect is the female mysterious nature and this explains why it is domineered by the female character while on the other hand, Jade Fox is figuratively used. Jade is a dark and more so of dark green color which is to showcase her age.…

Banned Book Essay When books are banned in schools around the nation, there are always reasons behind the decision; it is never made out of spite. The rules for banning novels is very straight forward, if the teachers or school board feel that the book could be harmful to their adolescent readers, then they have to the right to shelter and protect their students from the books. One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest should not be included in school curriculums because its extravagant use of inappropriate language and slurs could lead to an increase in negativity and violence from students in schools.…
