What is a catapult? A catapult is a device that hurls an object some distance. There are many different types of catapults in the world, but some are used more than others. Catapults were used as siege engines against enormous castles and brick walled cities. All of the catapults changed the face of warfare. Catapults were one of the earliest weapons used in Medieval Times. “The three major types are the Ballista, Onager and Trebuchet” (RLT Industries, 2015).
