One of them is the obstetric and gynecologic sonographer, which this ultrasound technicians specializes in the female reproductive system, which the sonograms can be used to track the baby’s health and growth. Another one is the neurosonographer, which specialize in taking pictures of the nervous system that includes the brain. The professional might work closely with other caregivers like a doctor.
Some qualities that a sonographer needs are hand eye coordination, physical stamina, detail coordination, interpersonal skills and technical skills. Also the ultrasound technician should be able to interact with the different people while working. Furthermore, the ultrasound technician should be able to work alone but would need to pursue the guidelines of the medical establishment.
Most of the time the professional might be standing for a long time. Also they will have to deal with the patients being worried and upset, which can cause anxieties that make the patients hard to deal with during their visit.
