“This endocannabinoid system controls the regulation of movement, pain, appetite, memory, immunity, blood pressure, bone density, reproduction, inflammation, etc.”(p. 15). This research cleared many people’s doubts about effects of marijuana use for chronic pain, improve appetite, spasticity, etc. A personal interview with a student who has been using marijuana (Marco) provides a profitable picture of the benefit of using medical marijuana. In addition, two interviews with practicing physicians gives an alternative opinion regarding medical marijuana perspective.
Marco is a twenty-nine years old third year engineering student at UCLA, who has been using marijuana on a regular basis for the last eleven years. He is very friendly and has a pleasant personality.
