Marco is a twenty-nine years old third year engineering student at UCLA, who has been using marijuana on a regular basis for the last eleven years. He is very friendly and has a pleasant personality. It is interesting to find the different opinions among the physicians. Dr. Frank is a pain management and rehabilitation physician in Orange County, California. He has been practicing for thirty years. Dr. Frank expressed a doubt about the usefulness of marijuana for chronic pain patient. He shared his personal experience by saying that the patient might say they are feeling better, but the patient who is using marijuana for chronic pain combined with other opioid pain medicine; he never saw a decrease in the uses of opioid pain medicine. Dr. Frank said, “I don’t mind to have legalized medical marijuana, even though the effectiveness of marijuana as medicine is not clear” (Frank, N., personal interview, September 15,
