INTERVIEW SETTING
Upon receipt of this referral, I contacted Mr. Remilong’s daughter, Teresa, to discuss the case and I coordinate a meeting with them at Mr. Remilong’s residence on March 27, 2018.
I contacted the claims adjuster by email correspondence regarding being assigned and the current plans for a home visit. Mr. Remilong was using a walker for mobility assistance and sat in a chair in the living room. He was alert and oriented to person, place and time. Mr. Remilong reported difficulty seeing as his glasses were broken in the accident, but he did have them in his possession. Mr. Remilong right ear was packed with 4x4 and sutures, he had a head dressing that covered the right ear. He had a laceration that was sutured. Mr. Remilong reported left rib discomfort and replied that his ribs were fractured in the accident. Mr. Remilong had head, neck and lower back discomfort. Remilong replied that he was the driver in his Explorer and his wife was the passenger in the vehicle. Mr. Remilong replied he was driving down the mile road and he was in front of the car Plant and a car came flying out of the lot without stopping and cut him off. Mr. Remilong hit the brakes and swerved, the vehicle went to the side of the pavement into the gravel and the vehicle rolled about three times. He was suspended upside down. When the car stopped rolling, bystanders opened the door helped his wife out and he had to be cut down. He had blood on his face and clothing. No air bags deployed as Mr. Remilong replied, he had an older Explorer. Mr. Remilong recalls the ambulance and being transported to the Beaumont Hospital in Troy, MI.
