After watching The Truman Show I was left with ideas like “what if I am in a TV show?” and “how do we know what is real?”. Truman didn’t know that he was living in a TV show his whole life, so how do I know I’m not? How do we know that we all aren’t? These are thoughts many people experience throughout their lives, questioning how the world came to be and how it still is. Even with all of modern day science and religion, these questions are still left unanswered. There are many theories, but nobody knows for certain. I think the author wanted to bring these questions to light and allow people who may not have thought about it before to consider these questions. I believe that questioning the world around us is natural, and helps us to live fulfilling lives. I think it is a very interesting and intelligent movie. I think the movie was quite ahead of it’s time, coming out in 1998(the first iPhone didn’t come out until 2007!), and dealing with deep questions combining technology and philosophy. I think the film did a good job of portraying the ideas it wanted to get across. I would recommend this film to anyone who would like to watch something
