According to hubpages.com and history.com, May Day a is a holiday that takes place on May first. May Day origins started as a Celtic holiday. The holiday was originally called the holiday they Beltane festival.This holiday celebrated the halfway point in the Druid calendar which starts in November. The is celebrating the end of winter and the beginning summer and spring or the entering the time of light and leaving the time of dark. The Celtics did a traditional dance called the Maypole dance. The pole is made of wood usually birch that is decorated with different colored ribbon and flowers. This dance has children holding a ribbon that move in sorts of patterns to make a multi colored pattern on the pole. The Roman also celebrated
