Before deciding how many repetitions someone should perform it is important to understand the muscle structure, these factors are particularly important when deciding and designing a gym routine, having said that and discussed the importance of muscle structure related to repetition we now have to understand how sets work and how to decide on the correct amount of…
In order to track the fitness improvements from before and after the training program three fitness tests have been performed that relate to the components being trained. These consist of a wall sit, chair push ups, vertical jump test and a twenty meter sprint. A wall sit is an appropriate fitness test for the chosen fitness component of Muscular Strength and Endurance because it records the strength endurance of the lower body, focusing on the quadriceps. To test the strength of the upper body’s strength and endurance a chair push up test has been selected. This test is suitable in regards to the fitness component.…
1. Strength balance, muscular strength, and endurance deficits are some of the causative factors given for increased risk of shoulder injury/pain. Arm pain and fatigue has also been identified as a common risk factor regarding shoulder and elbow pain. Adolescent pitchers who have a reported history of shoulder pain also demonstrated significantly less relative supraspinatus and middle trapezius strength as well as an increase in internal rotation strength and a decrease in external rotation strength. 2.…
2. Demonstrate which tests have improved, which have gotten worse, and which have stayed the same. If any tests have gotten worse, please explain why you think this has happened. If any tests have improved, that are NOT the component that you have been working on, please explain why you think this has happened. (2)…
Muscular endurance is key to may sports, sports where intermittent exercise is performed, such as rugby or basketball, intermittent training is appropriate. Sports where a continuous exercise output is required, such as a marathon, continuous training is appropriate. Exercise has beneficial effects in patients with cardiovascular disease, even for those with severely impaired cardiac function, and that physical inactivity accelerates the severity of heart failure. ( Ulrik Wisløff, PhD; Ashjørn Støylen, MD, PhD; Jan P. Loennechen, 2007 ) The purpose of this experiment is to compare and contrast Continuous and intermittent exercise, it is hypothesized that the participants will be able to work longer and have a greater power output well performing intermittent exercise.…

1.My goal is to improve my muscular strength so I will hit 10 homeruns over the fence this softball season. I will do this by doing anaerobic exercises and lifting weights, I will practice on my batting trainers, and by doing core stability training. 2.Last season with my first travel softball team I hit 3 homeruns over the fence (March 15th - August 21st). On the school softball team I hit 5 homeruns over the fence (Late March - Early May) because it was an easier team with easier pitchers and the people in the field didn’t have much practice. But on my travel team everything is more advanced so I need to become stronger to reach my goal.…
You look in the mirror. What do you see? For most people that decide to go to the gym, it is the unwanted physique that they see in the reflection or the motivation to get “back into shape.” The term, to get into shape, may depend on the person and the goals they want to set, but one thing is for sure--aesthetic appearance and strength are usually the reasons to go to the gym according to Quenqua (5). Now you walk into the gym, to your left is a class being taught and to your right is the equipment.…
