Writing - Matthew is able to write simple sentences independently. He is still learning how to write compound and complex sentences. Matthew accepts teacher's comments, he sometimes asks for help on how he can get a better grade and makes the necessary corrections on his paper. He gets confuse with the dependent and independent clauses. He is able to use transition words and coordinating conjunctions appropriately. He uses graphic organizer(s) to organize the main idea and supporting details of the paragraph and/or essay that he is trying to write but, he needs to keep his focus around the thesis statement of the writing assignment.
