This email is for everyone's information on the changes to the different policies that may pertain to yourself or your Marines:
The first change is the Maternity Leave- it was originally 18 weeks of paid maternity leave, as of 28 January 16 it is now 12 weeks of paid maternity leave. If any female that was medically evaluated as pregnant within 30 days of 28 January 16 they are still eligible for 18 Weeks of paid maternity leave. The husband will also get 14 days paternity vice 10 days.
The second change is to the Time in Grade (TIG) and selection criteria required for promotion to Corporal and Sergeant- the current policy for a Lance Corporal must have 8 months TIG during any month within the quarter before being eligible
