Martina Mcbride Reckless Lyrics Analysis

Is #13 always unlucky? Ask Martina McBride! Her new 13th studio album “Reckless” debuted #2 on the country charts, so apparently not. Upon first listen to this album I thought it was mediocre; however, when I heard it a 2nd time I decided I loved it! How can you not love anything Martina sings? Her voice can be soft and beautiful as well as loud and just as beautiful! She has been nominated 17 times for CMA's female vocalist of the year and won 4 times! Her almost 25-year career speaks for itself! The songs on this album feel like old friends. Martina described in a recent interview that she thinks her fans will find this album familiar. She also stated that it feels like an album she would've made 10-15 years ago. If this was her goal, she nailed it! …show more content…
She said she was young and making questionable decisions and he saw through all that and loved her anyway. You may have seen her video for the song. It's quite striking when she cuts her own hair with a pair of random rusty scissors! Listen for this song on the radio and look out for the video! “You and You Alone” is my least-favorite song on the album! I think the lyrics are beautiful; but it's slow and a bit boring. Both of these songs feel a little familiar. Martina didn't have many duets on earlier albums; but in the last 10 years or so, she has started to do that more. This album has two duets. “Diamonds” with Keith Urban. She dedicates this song to her daughters. It's a fun upbeat song and I'd love for it to be a single. The second duet is “The Real Thing” with Buddy Miller. It feels like a southern rock song! I think many people would enjoy both these duets, even people who don't consider themselves Martina fans! These songs don't feel familiar; only because duets are a somewhat new thing for

After six years of performing under the name Grimes, Claire Boucher is blasting into the stratosphere of mainstream pop; her intergalactic, out-of-this-world beats and softened sound made more palatable for radio on her fourth studio album, “Art Angels.” Trading her signature dream-pop with thudding, club beats and more confident sounding operatics, the genre-blending album covers a lot of ground in its 14 songs, and features more live instrumentation than ever before, including piano, guitar, and violin, all played by her. Boucher describes her style as ‘genre-less,’ blurring the lines between all styles of music. While she is broadening her sound, Scream, featuring a charismatic performance from underground Taiwanese rapper Aristophanes, verifies Grimes’ weird ethos remains unscathed.…

Let me start off by saying that Amy X Neuburg is a creative musical genius and there is really no other way to word it; she is truly an avant-garde musician. She embraces an approach that mixes modern technology to complement her vocal. She takes pride in the creative techniques she employs and does not seem to mind that her music does not conform to contemporary mainstream pop music. I admire that she does not allow herself to be restrained by popular music approaches and that she freely experiments with whatever comes to mind and develops her own distinct patterns and techniques. Furthermore, I think that there is a catchy tune to her songs and interesting lyrics that sometimes may seem a little random.…

Katy Perry, formally known as Kathryn Elizabeth Hudson, wrote this song in 2011 and it was part of her Teenage Dream album which skyrocketed billboards around the nation. The song is a mid-tempo pop ballad about a lost love that resonates with underlying layers of exquisite content, integrated with inconsolable feelings and unvoiced desire. Moreover, It features references to the rock band Radiohead as well as the relationship of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash to express the strength of the affair. For instance—In the first verse—she talks about insane things that the two lovers end up doing and how oblivious they were to the surrounding while making plans about their future, etc. But as the chorus comes into being, the listeners perspective shifts from explicating this warm and romantic love story, to this dark and hazy amour which soon reveals the sad travesty of this relationship; Moreover, she talks about: reincarnation, her desire to be his girl in the afterlife and how they'd rebel against the world if need be—but most importantly—regretting the fact that she let him go.…
