Taking a stand Future generations I would wish you to be more openminded and not to be afraid to take a stand, to leave your mark in the world in a positive way. To speak up when you see something wrong that you don’t like, to not be afraid to give your opinion even if other don’t like the same way as you. To not change your morals because of what people say but to value your morals because they represent you and the person you want to become. Some people agreed with him and some people didn’t. He valued equality. He cherishes his morals even though people thought his values and morals were completely wrong and out of his mind. But he tried to make a difference by his peaceful protest and sit-in and marches, because he knew what was good for the people. He didn’t just care for himself but he cared for the men and women going through the same thing but also their children. His values created the person he wanted to be and the person he wants his children to be, and to be recognized as. His protest was motivated by the kind of character he was. He tired his hardest to not start protest that ended badly but ended in a good note. Which lead him to his speech, “I have a dream”. His speech shows the person he is the American dream that people back then wanted for their future children and their children to endure. Martin Luther king Jr is a great example to show our future generation to be like, as in not changing the morals you have just because the majority of the people that era though he was not following the norm, he knew he had to value them because it made him be the person he is and the American figure he
