Throughout the novel The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain Tom Sawyer is characterized as mischievous, dramatic, and honest. Throughout most of the book Tom had experienced many of these characteristics in many ways. One of his characteristics he experienced on page 218 of the book. “ ‘Looky-here, Huck, there’s footprints and some candle grease on the clay about one side of this rock, but not on the other sides. Now, what’s that for? I bet you the money is under this rock.
