This weeks guest speaker was Marisa Schwartz, a technical designer, or a "clothing engineer" as she refers it. A technical designer constructs the garment the designer has sketch. They include details for the production team, such as materials, final sketch of product, sewing details, and points of measurement. Marisa began her education in New York at the Pratt Institute where she enrolled in a "Pre College Program" and moving on to receiving a BFA in Fashion Design and finishing her education at Colombia University. During her time as a college student she intern every summer, one of them being for GUESS jeans. After finishing her degree Marisa struggled to find a job in New York city, she actually went on 25 interviews bfore finding a part
