Not long after the Japan-era, Marines are called to Korea to stop communists from taking it over in 1950. They faced an easy victory over the Koreans and pushed them far back into the country until they reached the border of China. China decided to intervene and lead a counter push which left US forces on the run from the millions of Chinese and Korean troops. The conflict was “resolved” on a called ceasefire in 1953. Until now the war is not officially over.

The Vietnam War was one of the bloodiest wars ever in the history of the US since in killed more troops then WWII and WW I combined. Marines were the first runners in this war as they fought in important battles like “Da Nang, Huế, and Khe Sanh”3. The war ended on April 30, 1975.

Demonstrating that genuine care exists for the Marine’s overall well-being allows increased trust inside the workplace and more effort towards mission accomplishment.
