Maniac Magee Book Report

Decent Essays
Today we focused on organizing his notebook and reading the book "Maniac Magee." Nathan enjoys talking about the book with me and has increasingly shown interest in reading more of the story to learn about the characters. He does struggle at times with reading specific vocabulary words and with reading at a certain pace. I recommend that Nathan get into the habit of reading more frequently aloud so that he can build up his confidence. When we first started reading his book, he did not want to read aloud because he did not want to make mistakes or take too long to read, but the more we read together, the more interested he is in getting through the book. If he can't read aloud with anyone, I suggest that he takes 30-60 minutes a day to read
