Now, more than ever, people are trying to be someone that they are not. It is crucial for everyone to stay with their own beliefs. It is important for a person to be him/herself to build courage and establish their own identity. Having the courage to stand up for what we believe in will make us stronger individuals. For example, on the hit television show, American Idol, a singer-songwriter named Mandisa was offended by a comment that was made by one of the shows judges about her weight. She built up the courage to confront the judge. Mandisa revealed in an interview that this moment made her a stronger person by teaching her to stand up for herself. This example shows that you should not let someone affect the way that you look at yourself,
